itouches?

So my school recently got itouches and I think it's a stupid idea. Why do we even need them? It'll only be distracting. We got 40 and each cost $199, do the math. 199 *40= $7,960 and yet my school is so cheap that they can't even get decent bindings for our notebooks which fall apart by the end of the month! Our textbooks and computers are falling apart too! The textbooks are having ripped pages and the bindings are falling off! The computers are slow and often freeze, their speakers literally ripped open, and the keyboards are missing keys! So what does the school do? Buy $7,960 in itouches! I know everyone may tink I'm complaining but honestly do you agree with the school's choice on how to spend funds?
